Do Fat Burning Diets Really Work?

Fat burning diets seem to be springing up every where. There are so many diets out there, it is easy to become confused. After all, isn’t the purpose of any diet to burn fat in order to reduce ones size?

So why then are they called this? To put it simply, you reduce the amount of fatty foods you eat in order to burn the excess blubber that your body has already stored.

The fact is, your body needs a balanced diet to remain healthy. Although it may seem counter intuitive, eating some fatty foods will actually help you to burn off that unwanted insulation you’re carrying. You must however know the difference between healthy and unhealthy fats. For example, olives or avocados would be considered healthy. On the other hand, red meat and bacon would be considered unhealthy. Most diets that claim to burn off excess flab include either low fat or low carb menus.

One very popular, well known diet to burn off your extra flab, which a Dr. invented, requires that you increase your protein and lower or just about eliminate your carbs. This diet has had a lot of success for many people. However, one must use caution when making protein choices. Lean whiter meats have been shown to be healthier than red meats which are heavy in fat and are known to cause other potential health issues. This diet has serious restrictions in what you may eat, and must be followed to the letter.

When following this kind diet many people forget to include, or in some cases seriously restrict dairy. Dairy is necessary to maintain proper health, and if used properly can actually aide in weight loss.

The best way to lose those extra pounds, and body fat is to lower calories consumption slightly. Reduce your intake only if you are already consuming too much. And, here is the part that many people do not want to hear, exercise. You must exercise in order to use up your body’s built-in store. This will not be a speedy process, but will likely be a permanent one.

Restrictive diets can be affective, and are probably best for those who need to lose large amounts. Just remember, again, they must be followed exactly.
